Neighborhood of the Week – Baker

Bounded by Broadway, Mississippi, 6th Ave & the South Platte River, Baker is a neighborhood that has seen a lot of change in the past couple of years and is today one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Denver. Baker is actually one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, founded around 1859, and today is seeing a lot of changes with the real estate. When driving through the area, you will notice all of the unique Victorian houses many that have been revived to their heyday appearances. But there are also remodeled duplexes, newer condominiums and new modern new builds on the city blocks.

The Baker neighborhood is known for its diversity being an area that attracts many artists, professionals, young families and singles alike. Besides all of the great living spaces, the neighborhood also boasts quite the restaurant line-up, shopping and entertainment choices. With access to Broadway, you won’t find yourself far from a great bar, place to eat or event to go to. People who live in the Baker neighborhood love how easy it is to get around everywhere, whether walking or biking or driving, Baker residents are not far from downtown, Cherry Creek or LoHi. Just far enough away from the city to have a little quiet, Baker is a consistent neighborhood where the real estate is always on the move.
