Hard to believe that May is almost over, it seems like we just started the month! But time never slows down for anyone and here we are approaching the end of May and with that, Memorial Day weekend. I would like to take a minute to thank all of the families, friends and relatives of those fallen men and women soldiers. This is a weekend where we remember those who fought so valiantly for our country so that we might all continue to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
For those of you planning to head out of town this weekend, please be safe and check weather conditions wherever you are heading. Many people like to start their summer camping off this weekend and head up to the mountains but it has been a rather cold time up there still so make sure to pack accordingly. Also know the airports will be quite busy all weekend so make sure to give yourself extra time to check-in and to get through security.
Now if you are staying in Colorado for the weekend, more specifically Denver, there are so many activities to choose from this weekend it will be hard to narrow it down to just one or two a day. Head to the museum to be captivated by this incredible exhibition that has already been enjoyed by more than a million people.
The Music of Star Wars – All Weekend Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver Performing Arts Complex – The Colorado Symphony presents two evenings of music that captures of the most beloved stories of our time from a galaxy far, far away.
Colorado Rockies Game – All weekend vs. St. Louis Cardinals and the Seattle Mariners – Coors Field – Nothing says holiday like enjoying a beer and a hotdog at a baseball game. Catch the Rockies as they take on two great teams this weekend and cheer them on!
Swinging Under the Stars – May 27th Little Man Ice Cream – Ever wanted to learn swing dancing? Well now is your chance! Head to Little Man Ice Cream this weekend, rock your 40’s-style wear, dance under the stars and when you are pooped, grab yourself a delicious ice cream cone.
Denver Day of Rock – May 27th 16th Street Mall – This one-of-a-kind music event is presented by Amp the Cause, a non-profit organization for kids. Enjoy five stages full of amazing musicians as well as great food and drinks.
